Floreana Island is the fourth largest inhabited island in the Galápagos, measuring 173 km² with its highest point at Cerro Pajas (640m). The only way to reach Floreana Island from Santa Cruz is by inter-island ferry or speedboat. The ferry departs from the Gus Angermeyer Pier in Puerto Ayora at approximately 7:00 AM and takes around 2 hours to reach Puerto Velasco Ibarra, Floreana’s main port. The return ferry departs Floreana at approximately 3:00-4:00 PM.
